The Challenge : Clinic no-show rates of 20–30% result in significant financial losses, costing clinics billions annually in missed revenue and wasted staff time. These delays also disrupt care continuity, particularly for patients managing chronic or mental health conditions, and staff workflows become strained by manually managing reschedules and confirmations.

The Solution : Tekai was contracted to develop the foundational MVP for the SmartHealth AI platform. The project objective was to validate the concept of using a predictive risk engine coupled with an intelligent reminder system to reduce patient no-shows, the platform that SmartHealth AI offers recovers missed revenue and reclaim lost time for clinics.

Key Deliverables and Technical Achievements

The project resulted in a functional platform built with security and privacy as a priority, guided by principles of regulations like HIPAA (U.S.) and PHIPA (Canada).

Upon completion, Tekai Oy deployed the final application, provided a 30-day warranty period for bug fixes within the original scope, and transferred the full source code, deployment scripts, documentation, and credentials to SmartHealth AI.
